Signiant Jet uses job triggers to set when files are transferred between storage locations. Transfers can be started automatically using a hot folder trigger, or be started manually.
Job triggers are set on the Add Job page.
A job set with a hot folder trigger monitors the source storage profile for new files. Once new files are detected, Jet compares the source and destination files, including any changes to the source files. Any files not present or up to date at the destination are transferred automatically.
Once a file arrives at the destination, it can be copied, moved, or deleted from the source folder as required by using a post-transfer action.
Note: Restarting the SDCX Server can cause repeated file transfers to the destination if the file is present in the source but not the destination. To prevent duplicate transfers, use a post-transfer action to move the source files to an unmonitored folder.
A schedule trigger sets a date and time to start a transfer. At the specified date and time, files at the source storage profile will begin to transfer to the destination storage profile.
A schedule can be set to repeat at a regular interval using the Repeat drop-down menu.
Beginning with Signiant SDCX Server version 4.1.4, you can create jobs with a Manual trigger. Manual jobs can be started using the Jet management console, or via the API.
To start a manual job:
