What's New in Manager+Agents 15.0

• Manager Backups: Backing up a Manager has been simplified and now includes the Manager software, allowing you to restore a Manager without reinstalling the Manager software bundle.
• Windows Agent Object Storage: Windows Agents can now be used to transfer files to and from object storage with Object Mover.
• Object Mover: Object Mover can now delete source files after download when using ObjectDownloader. For more information, read the Object Mover Advanced Configuration guide.
• System Requirements: Manager+Agents 15.0 supports CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 8. For more information, refer to the system requirements.
• Infrastructure Updates: Manager+Agents 15.0 includes upgrades to Open JDK, and PostgreSQL, improving security, performance, and reliability.
• High Availability Deployments: Manager+Agents no longer supports High Availability or Clustered Agents. For more information, refer to the End of Life section.
• Operating System Changes: Version 15.0 has removed support for Windows Server 2012 R2, CentOS/Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, and Oracle Solaris. For more information, refer to the release End of Life section or the system requirements.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue causing Windows Agent jobs to not delete expired files when using a long path.
• Fixed an issue related to growing source files referenced by symbolic links failing.
• Storage profiles can no longer be deleted when assigned to jobs.
• Security fixes and usability improvements.

Upgrade Path

This upgrade can be installed on Manager+Agents 13.1 or higher. Previous versions must upgrade to 13.1 before upgrading to this version. Contact Signiant Customer Support for more information.

Agent Configurations

Upgrading Manager+Agents does not preserve additional Agent configuration files other than sigsetup.inf. To save your additional configuration files, back up all INF files contained within the Agent hosts directory.

• Linux: usr/signiant/dds/3rdparty/jboss/server/default/deploy/signiant.war/secure/hosts/

• Windows: C:\Program Files\Signiant\Mobilize\3rdparty\jboss\server\default\deploy\signiant.war\secure\hosts\

End Of Life

Manager+Agents 15.0 includes substantial changes to supported deployments, operating systems, and legacy features. Before upgrading, ensure that your Manager can support these changes.

Manager+Agents 13.x

Manager+Agents 13.x is now at end of life. Customers currently on Manager version 13.x are required to upgrade to version 14.1 or later. Numerous enhancements and bug fixes are offered in newer releases.

High Availability / Cluster Deployments

Manager+Agents can no longer be used in a high availability (HA) deployment. Contact Signiant Customer Support for more information.

End of Support for Oracle Solaris Agents

Agent software can no longer be installed on Oracle Solaris systems. To upgrade to the latest Agent software version, replace any Solaris Agents with an Agent running a supported operating system.

End of Support for Windows 2012 R2

Manager+Agents no longer supports Microsoft Windows 2012 R2. To upgrade to the latest version of Manager+Agents, you must upgrade any Windows servers to Windows 2016 or higher.

End of Support for CentOS / Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Manager+Agents no longer supports CentOS / Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. To upgrade to the latest version of Manager+Agents, you must upgrade any CentOS / Red Hat 6 Managers or Agents to version CentOS / Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 or higher.

Manager+Agents supported Media Shuttle portals

Manager+Agents version 15.0 no longer supports Media Shuttle on Manager+Agents deployments. For more information, contact Signiant Support for assistance migrating your Media Shuttle deployment.

Manager+Agents supported Media Exchange

Manager+Agents version 15.0 no longer supports Media Exchange deployments. To continue using Media Exchange, remain at Manager+Agents 14.1 or earlier.

Web Transfer API

Manager+Agents version 15.0 no longer supports Web Transfer API. To continue using Agents as TAPI-enabled servers, remain at Manager+Agents 14.1 or earlier.

Note: This does not affect the Manager+Agents REST API.

Manager+Agents Legacy Templates

Legacy job templates are no longer supported as of Manager+Agents 14.0. To determine whether you have legacy templates in use:

In the Manager, navigate to Jobs > Templates and click the Legacy column header to sort templates by legacy status.

If you have any legacy job templates in use, contact Signiant Customer Support before upgrading.
