Labelling Jobs

If you run similar jobs for more than one Job Group or Job View, you can create and assign labels to help categorize your jobs. Job labels organize your jobs by color code and custom label name.

You can view all jobs with a specific label assigned at Administration > Manager > Labels by selecting a label and clicking View Jobs.

Creating or Editing a Label

On the Labels page, you can Add, Edit and Delete labels. You can also use the Copy feature to create a new label with properties similar to those of an existing label.

To create or edit a label:

1. In your Manager, navigate to Administration > Manager > Labels.
2. Click Add or select an existing label and click Edit.
3. On the Definition tab, set the Label Name, Label Details and Label Color.

4. Click OK.

Assigning Permissions to a Label

You can give individual users or user groups permission to edit or delete labels.

To assign permissions to a label:

1. On the Permissions tab, select users or groups from the Available Users/Groups list and add them to the Current Permissions list.
2. Select the user or group permissions using the check boxes.
3. Click OK.

Assigning Labels

Job labels can be assigned or removed on the Jobs > Groups and Jobs > Views pages.

To assign a label to a job:

1. In your Manager, navigate to Jobs > Groups or Jobs > Views.
2. Select a Group or View and click View Jobs.
3. Select a job and click Labels.
4. Enter the name of a label, or click Search Labels... and press the Down key to select from the available labels.
5. Click OK.

To remove a label from a job:

1. In your Manager, navigate to Jobs > Groups or Jobs > Views.
2. Select a Group or View and click View Jobs.
3. Select a job and click Labels.
4. Click X on the label to remove it.
5. Click OK.
