ObjectUploader

ObjectUploader takes files from a location and uploads them to object storage. You can configure ObjectUploader to upload from one Agent or from a set of Agents in an Agent group.

When the job runs, files and folder contents upload to the specified object storage. The files transferred from the source Agents can be stored on a per Agent basis, or can be set to upload in a single folder.

To create an ObjectUploader job:

  1. From the Manager navigation menu, select Object Mover > ObjectUploader.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Set a Job Name
  4. In the Source Specification section, set the Source Agent.
  5. Use the Browse button to select files or folders from the source Agent or Agent group.
  6. In the Destination Specification, select a Target Agent configured for object storage or Flight Gateway.
  7. Select a storage Profile Name and set a Subfolder if required.
  8. Set your Notification and Logging preferences if required.
  9. Set the Schedule for the job if required.
  10. Click OK.

Once you have created your job, it will run on schedule, when activated by a workflow, or whenever you manually run the job.

Note: Configure storage lifecycle maintenance jobs on your destination storage to automatically delete incomplete multipart transfers to prevent failed uploads from using additional storage.
