Media Mover jobs accelerate file transfers between file systems. As a job completes, you can track its progress by viewing its job details.
Large files that are actively transferring as part of a job create transient files tagged according to their current transfer status.
A file with the #work_file#
tag is a file that is being transferred to disk. The file will also have a corresponding #checkpt_file#
containing information about the source file, ensuring transfer integrity.
Once a file successfully transfers, the #work_file#
tag is removed from the file name, and the associated #chkpt_file#
is deleted.
You can modify the transient file naming modes as an advanced job option.
