The Job Details page displays overview and statistical information about a selected job run.
To view job details:
The progress bar color indicates the status of the latest job run:
When a job is running, the progress bar indicates the amount of data transferred.
The Job Details page is separated into the following panels:
The Properties panel displays general information about the job and job run:
Note: For job runs initiated via an external Manager or web browser, the job template is not available.
This panel displays a graph showing the data transfer rate and any transfer events during the job run. If the job contains multiple source or target Agents, or uses multiple components, a drop down list is available to select the combination to display on the graph. When the job is running, the graph becomes interactive. Sliders on the right side of the graph allow you to change the value of the bandwidth ceiling, throttle and floor.
When bandwidth settings are configured, use Customize Chart to control the data displayed in the graph.
To change a bandwidth setting during a job run:
To display the value of a point on the graph, hover your mouse over the point.
To display the value of a transfer event, hover your mouse over the event icon along the bottom of the graph.
To zoom in on an area of the graph, click and drag to highlight the area of interest. A Reset Zoom link is displayed while the graph is zoomed.
The Status panel displays components associated with the job. Their order is based on their sequence in the job template. The panel updates as the job runs, indicating the progress of the job and its components.
The Active Message displays status messages provided by the job. The panel also displays the date and time a component started running, its percentage complete, and the order in which the components will run. When a component in a workflow is interrupted, the completion status of the component is indicated here.
Note: If a Media Mover job configured to use multiple Agents and jobs is interrupted, all components in the group are marked as interrupted.
The Events panel displays the time the event occurred according to the Manager clock, the name of the component that generated the event, the source and target Agents associated with the event.
The Event Type provides a short description of the event. Bandwidth allocation events also include the ceiling, throttle and floor values contained in the baseline job settings, as well as the values requested by and set by resource controls.
The Initiated by column indicates the hostname of the Manager that initiated the event, or the hostname of the user who is performing Content Transfer Engine transfers. Bandwidth allocation events also display the name of the resource control that applied the values, or indicate a Manual Override
in the case of user-modified settings. Baseline bandwidth events indicate whether the values originated from the initial job settings or the transfer profile.
The Statistics panel displays a table of statistics as they occur during the job run. By default, the panel displays a limited selection of available statistics. View additional statistics by selecting them from the drop-down list that is accessed by hovering over a column title.
Note: The Active Filename refers to the name of the file being transferred when the page is refreshed. Files transferred between page refreshes are not displayed.
The Job Run History side panel displays a list of previous job runs. In this panel, you can select any previous run so that its details can be displayed on the main Job Details page. Job runs displayed in red indicate that an error or warning occurred during the job run.
To expand the Job Run History side panel, select History from the toolbar or click the panel bar along the right hand side of the Job Details page. The number of rows displayed is controlled by the Jobs Per Page setting under User Preferences.
To view information about a previous job run, select the job run and click Show Selected.
To display the current job, run click Show Latest.
