ObjectReplicator allows you to schedule distribution from object storage to one or more other object storage servers, with an option to synchronize targets with the source.
Designed for dealing with large numbers of files, ObjectReplicator is intended for use when files are not changing or growing in size during a transfer.
When replicating data between AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud storage, both endpoints must be registered with Flight Gateway to allow the transfer.
When the job runs, files and folder contents transfer to the specified object storage. When transferring single files and files from a subfolder, the files are stored 'flat', without subfolders. When transferring all contents from object storage, the original structure is preserved.
To create an ObjectReplicator job:
From the Manager navigation menu, select Object Mover > ObjectReplicator.
Click Add.
Set a Job Name.
In the Source Specification section, set the Source Agent and Source Object Storage.
In the Source Data field, enter the path to the files or folders included in the job:
To transfer specific files, enter the full path to the file. (e.g /example.bin)
To transfer all files from a subfolder, enter the subfolder name. (e.g exampleFolder)
To transfer all contents from an object storage location, enter /.
In the Destination Specification, select a Target Agent and Target Object Storage.
Use the Browse button to set a Target Directory.
Set your Notification and Logging preferences if required.
Set the Schedule for the job if required.
Click OK.
Once you have created your job, it will run on schedule, when activated by a workflow, or whenever you manually run the job.
Note: Configure storage lifecycle maintenance jobs on your destination storage to automatically delete incomplete multipart transfers to prevent failed uploads from using additional storage.
